Pompei Vesuvio: Pompeii holds an intense fascination for visitors today. Following the eruption of the Volcano Mount Vesuvius in the year 79 AD, Pompei lay buried and forgotten for hundreds of years. The town is high on the list of Wonders of the World and the excavations begun in the 18th Century are still being carried out today. Any direction you are coming from follow the A3 Napoli- Salerno motorway. Look for the sign Salerno/Reggio Calabria- Penisola Sorrentina as far as Castellamare di Stabia exit. After that drive along the SS145 to Sorrento. Drive past the towns META, PIANO DI SORRENTO and S.AGNELLO as far as Sorrento. Drive along Via degli Aranci then turn into Via Fuorimura on your right. Park you car in the little public parking lot oppossite the hotel.
IIf you are landing in Naples at Capodichino airport, the easiest and most comfortable way to reach Sorrento is the CURRERI bus line stopping just outside the arrival hall. This bus will take you in Tasso Square, the heart of Sorrento. From there turn left into Via Fuorimura,straight on you will see our hotel on your left. From the airport you can also get the ANM bus to Piazza Garibaldi rail station. From the rail station reach Sorrento by CIRCUMVESUVIANA.
